What is a dog guard?
A dog guard is a mesh barrier that separates your dog from the passenger compartment. ‘Guardsman’ dog guards are designed to be easily fitted to your car and do not require drilling of your vehicle or special tools.

What is a divider?
The divider secures at one end to the dog guard and splits the boot area into two (or more, depending on how many dividers are fitted.)

What is a tailgate?
A tailgate can be combined with a dog guard and divider or used as a ‘stand alone’ item. The tailgate prevents the dog jumping from the vehicle when the tailgate has been opened. Key operated locks can be fitted as an optional extra.

How do I decide which dog cage is best for me and my dog?
If you can advise us of all your dog cage, dog guard or tailgate requirements then we will be able to give you the benefit of our experience. However, you are the customer and we will follow your instructions, we want you to leave with a product that you are completely happy with.

How much does a dog cage cost?
The cost of a cage varies depending upon your vehicle and your requirements. Typically prices vary between £250 and £600.

How do I place an order?
Completing the enquiry form, which has a link at the foot of each page, ensures that you give us most of the information we require in order to give you an accurate quote for your dog cage or other choice of product. We are equally happy to discuss your requirements over the phone and help you with the decision process. Your order can then be taken over the phone or through the post. We do not offer online purchasing as there are so many variations to our products in order to offer you a custom fit solution.

Are there standard fit products?
Not really….we keep drawings of all the parts we make so we know the maximum sizes that a dog cage can be made to fit into your car or the best way dog guards and tailgates can be installed.
Vans are slightly different again as there are many possible variations that you may require – just call and we will be happy to discuss any requirements you may have.
For dog cages in either normal estate vehicle or 4x4’s we ask you to check and confirm our sizes, we will then begin work on your order.
Each part is made as a  custom design which gives us the flexibility to produce exactly what you require. So if you require offset doors or prefer the handles on a certain side or even for us to make a storage area either on top or below the dog cage just let us know and we’ll do it.

How long does it take to make my dog cage?
It varies depending upon the details but typically it will be between 3 and 6 weeks.  If you need it sooner please call us as we may be able to accommodate you.

Is it delivered or do I collect?
You are welcome to collect your order and have it installed free of charge. If you prefer the part delivering, we can ship it flat packed to your home, office or other convenient address. Dog cages can be delivered fully assembled on a pallet for a small additional charge.

Can I install it in the car myself ?
Other than some of our van caging, all of our products are designed to be installed by the customer. The majority of cages simply slide in. The dog guard / divider / tailgates are secured by tension fittings or with the use of an allen key and a few bolts (also supplied, as are fitting instructions).
If you prefer to have parts supplied that require you to drill your vehicle to physically fix them, please let us know when you enquire as we can amend our design to suit. The other option is to collect the parts from our factory in Warwickshire where they will be fitted free of charge.
